"SERVING RHEA
COUNTY THRU AMATEUR
RADIO"
The Rhea County Amateur Radio
Society, located in Dayton, Tennessee, was formed in 1978 by the few Amateur
Operators (HAMS) licensed in Rhea County at that time.
Today we have grown into a thriving club of more than 45 members committed
to Emergency Preparedness and Public Service. We have adopted Dr. Archie
Morgan's call sign as our own club call.
K4DPD.
We are in the process of constructing a new complex in cooperation with The
Rhea County Squadron of The Civil Air Patrol and The Rhea County Chapter of The
American Red Cross. The Complex is located at Dayton's
Mark Anton Airport.
This joint effort will benefit not only the people of Rhea County, but all
of Southeast Tennessee with improved Emergency communications and a joint
Emergency Services group.
We look forward to working, training and
serving with the Civil Air Patrol and The American Red
Cross.

We have also formed a Kit Builders group that meets
every Monday night at the C.A.P. Complex located at the Mark

where amateurs world wide set up under emergency
conditions and make as many contacts as possible in a 24 hour period.
We meet the first Saturday of every month 7pm at The Civil Air Patrol Headquarters located at Dayton's
